I often meet with clients for 45-minute sessions weekly (although my approach is flexible). In doing so, I will attempt to help you to better understand yourself. The focus will be on your strengths in order to help you to accomplish your goals. Usually, I am able to create a secure environment where the client feels safe sharing their thoughts and feelings.
Relationships are difficult. They can be a great source of pleasure or pain. Many couples seek out counseling as a last option. Regardless of you and your partner’s reasons for coming to see me, I am confident that I can be of assistance. Commonly addressed issues include communication, intimacy, parenting, and infidelity.
I am experienced in administering psychological tests to people of all ages. This can provide the client with information about his or her diagnoses and insight into behavioral patterns, personality, and emotions. The resulting report is used to answer specific questions that the client might have (e.g., current psychological stressors, ways of coping, etc.).
When faced with concerns regarding a child, adolescent, or college/graduate student’s academic performance, psychoeducational testing can be helpful. This includes an examination of cognitive functioning and learning problems. Psychoeducational testing can help an individual succeed academically and determine if there is any difficulties (e.g., attention problems) interfering in the learning process.
